Antique Lumber: History and Character

Rosemary Thornton, contributing editor
Victorian charmerOld lumber has a patina and character that can't be replicated and in some cases, it has a history, too. Salvaged from an early 1900s silo, these tongue and groove boards are white pine, 7" wide and 1-5/8" thick.

A few of the board ends have nibble marks and minor tar damage from their former life on the farm. Board lenghts are 6' to 12'.

  • Reclaimed Antique White Pine, Batch #31, is $1,500 for 500 square feet.
  • Boards are 1-5/8" thick, 7" wide and 6' to 12' long.
