Architectural Ornamentation: Shell Niche

The installation of this Greek Shell Wall Niche requires no slicing into existing framework, as it's designed to fit between 16" wall studs.

Each niche is hand sculpted and hand cast at a shop in Tennessee and made with gypsum and hemp.

According to the manufacturer, "it installs like wood" and can be nailed or screwed into place.

Greek Shell wall niche is $250 (May 2006).

Dimensions: 38-3/4" long x 19-1/2" wide x 4" deep with 4-1/2" projection.
