Gas Lights: Modern Nostalgia

Rosemary Thornton, contributing editor
Victorian charmerGas lights like this were fixtures in early 20th century homes. This reproduction fixture has the upturned shade, gas tubing and even a faux gas valve at its base, but is fueled by electricity.

The solid brass light has a handrubbed finish and is shown here with a 4" acid-etched glass shade ($70 extra).

  • North Hero Pendant Light, #001-802, is $425 (May 2006).
  • Lamp is 16" high.
