Cypress Siding: Weather Resistant

Cypress trees, famous for their protruding knobby knees, are also prized for their naturally rot-resistant wood. Shown here is Beadboard Cypress siding, offered in 1" by 4" and 1" by 6" sizes. The 6" width has a bead every 1-1/2" and the 4" width has a bead every 1-1/2".

For about double the price quoted here, you can also opt for salvaged cypress siding, which is more dense and up to 200 years old. Left unfinished, the wood will age to a soft, gray patina.

Price is $2 per linear foot(1" x 6"); $1.33 per linear foot (1" x 4")(September 2006).
