Men and women of the Navy may recognize this chair, comissioned by the Navy and designed jointly by Emeco Furniture and ALCOA (Aluminum Company of America) during World War II.
Like its original, this reproduction is handcrafted from thermally treated solid aluminum. According to the manufacturer, it's three times stronger than steel, with a life expectancy of 150 years.
Suitable for use indoors or out, the Texhyde fabric (vinyl) is offered in about 70 color choices.
