Invite diffuse natural light into your home without a traditional skylight with the Tubular Skylight.
A key component is a long piece of highly-reflective tubing (known as a light pipe), that brings light from the rooftop to your ceiling. A diffuser at the ceiling level spreads the sunlight around.
The domed top of the skylight is designed to prevent UV rays from fading fabrics in your home. Sold as a do-it-yourself kit, it comes with the dome, flashing (18-gauge aluminum), 48" of light pipe (silver-coated aluminum) diffuser and trim ring, gaskets, adhseive and fasteners (screws and tape).
According to the manufacturer, installation time is about two hours.
