Barn Doors: Batten the Hatches

First used when horses were the fastest transportation around, this original barn door dates to the late 1700s.

Made of hand-planed white pine, this door was used on a grain storage area. Original door hardware, which includes the hand-forged latch and strap hinges are still affixed.
