Victorian charmerSalvaged Spanish-style clay tiles like these have been time-tested through 50 years of freeze-thaw cycles. And they're less expensive than new tiles to boot.

These were salvaged from buildings in the midwest and east. The supplier also offers new tiles, which cost about 20 percent more.
