Made of terra cotta clay, these flat tiles are known as "French Tiles". Color options are natural red, bright green and dull green.
They've salvaged from buildings that date back to the early 1900s. According to the company that sells these vintage tiles, tests by the ASTM (American Society of Testing Materials) have demonstrated that these "used" tiles meet all the same criteria required of brand new clay tiles.
They're proving popular, too. One client bought 350 squares of these vintage tiles for his 35,000 square foot home.
