These genuine encaustic floor tiles are a true work of art. Each tile is made by hand using a technique known as hot wax painting. The process mirrors the type of artistic work found with many 19th century floor tiles. While the look is highly customized, these tiles are readily available in a wide range of patterns, from paisley to rope to floral designs.
