Here's a hardwood floor that can be installed over most existing floors, including concrete, ceramic, vinyl and wood. The East Wind engineered planks come in cherry, maple, oak and some exotic woods. The planks make up a floating floor -- individual boards are glued only at the edges and end joints and are not attached directly to the subfloor. Floating floors can be installed above, on, or below grade. East Wind flooring comes prefinished in a choice of seven stains.
