Craftsman house plans are available for homes of all sizes, but all feature the classic elements of a traditional craftsman-style home. Some characteristics of craftsman homes include a low-slung, gabled roof, exposed rafters with ridge beams, wide porches with tapered, squared columns, and built-in shelving and cabinetry. They are generally one-and-a-half or two stories.
