Oh Boy!
The designer used earthly textures and natural materials to appeal to both boys and to the clients love of nature. To create space, the designer used shallow cabinets with vertical, recessed paneled doors.
This design balanced the horizontal, flat and dry look of the blue slate countertops. The countertops accommodate the height difference in the brothers and act as a tabletop to the vessel sink. Three separate slate pieces were added for visual relief and to create a wider feeling to the bathroom.
This room earned a third-place award in the small bathroom category of the National Kitchen and Bath Association's 2003 Design Competition.
