Re: NO MORE SPAM: Forum has been upgraded

R.I.P. to the OHW.

I dropped in, hoping for just maybe a glimmer of the old site. Long gone. The choking weeds of fraudulent users and spammy messages.

Re: counterweight access panel on double hung window

Mine have the zig zag cut on my 1914 bungalow. I have one screw at the bottom. I'd go ahead & cut those all the way & see what's there. :D

Re: Porch Ideas -1915 Bungled Bungalow

I get it! I just spent much of yesterday doing the shrink plastic on a bunch of my windows inside. Gotta do what ya gotta do when the snow is on the way!

Re: 1928 bathroom and kitchen walls,,,

After: new sink floor & tile.jpg tub toilet floor.jpg tub floor.jpg You can't always save every original detail, but as long as you do what you can to restore the feel of the original room, you're doing the place justice. My old floor & sink were nasty 70's or 80's additions. Those got ripped up & I...

It's hard to see what you're talking about. Can you take a couple other pics & downsize them? I don't think this site can accept the photos that large. I remember posting here from photos on my actual camera & always had to save them nearly half the size for the whole photo to fit.
