Re: The most unrewarding of home improvement tasks...
TSP is amazing. Cleaned my metal kitchen cabs, my paint/slop sink in the basement, took grease off the kitchen walls, deglossed surfaces for painting, doesn't need to be rinsed off, ahh I could go on & on. Love the stuff. Have you tried steel wool instead of the scrubbie? Might give it a little more...

Re: Is this stuff original to kitchen?
AED -- I actually love the green, with the metal trim strips...it would have been great with metal cabinets, but I'm sure the new color looks MUCH better with the cabinets you have. MUCH better. MKD Trust me, it looked better in the pics. The metal strips were worn, so I painted right over 'em. I c...

Here's our wall board. Yes, it's green--somewhere between mint & avocado. It's all through the kitchen & pantry, about half way up the walls. Removing it is not a possibility anytime soon. I'm in the process of priming & painting it a semi-gloss called Mediterranean Caramel. It's amazing how it ligh...

Re: Does everyone else have a garbage problem?
Things coming up out of the ground after a storm reminds me of "Poltergeist" (one of my fave movies). Anyone know if their house was built on top of a cemetery? And whether they bothered to remove the bodies?? Chris, only you could turn up a beautiful piece like that! Kind of like that gorgeous cons...

Saw this in a gift shop: "I love you more today than yesterday, because yesterday you really ticked me off".

Re: 'Hideous Mural' under Mirrors!
Bye bye mirrors, bye bye mural, hello chair rail. I think that would look beautiful, especially in a dining room.

Hi, Erin. Come on back for a visit! Warwick is such a pretty place. Galleria not so much, but there's nothing I can do about that. We drove through Warwick recently to take my son to a wrestling match, & I loved the old houses and the beautiful colors (I'm looking for inspiration when we get around ...

Hey, pon55, I cruise the Hudson Valley CL regularly, I'm in Middletown. Where are you? Do you know about the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Newburgh? Also an interesting place. Happy hunting! Anne

Re: It snowed
An inch of rain is equal to a foot a snow if the conditions are right, according to my son's science teacher. If Mr. Carbone says it, it must be so. There was a big build-up to a wintry mix weather event here in Orange County, NY, but this morning it's nothing but a misty rain. Off to work & school ...
