Re: New names, New Homes

Hello KathyJB. I miss you. How are you doing? I haven't been here for a long time either. I decided it is time to return, meet some new friends, and glad I saw your name. I've taken up the art of long arm quilting and found out I'm really graceful at it. I'm having a wonderful time--retirement is wo...

Re: Mystery Compartment in the Floor?????

If there is no fixture below the it, it could be the money board. It was quite common in the day for the owners money to be hidden in the house. Often in the floor,it would be hidden under a carpet. The mystery compartment is about 18" from the wall, and about 36" from a twin bed centered on an adj...

I don't know about the light fixture downstairs below it. I'll have to ask the homeowner.

Re: Wall Repairs - Upstairs Hallway

I put wall liner up after fixing the cracks. It makes a perfect finish. Then added picture rail and painted. Looks perfect. Hi: Just curious. Can you show some "after" photos of the wall liner installation. I'd like to see the finished result. How wide is the wall liner? What type of adhesive do yo...

Wall Repairs - Upstairs Hallway

I thought I'd post some photos of progress on the upstairs hallway. It's 28ft. long, 5 ft. wide at it narrowest, and 10ft. wide at the landing. http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr257/mrs_bucket_photos/16HallwayUpstairs19Mar2012.jpg We make simple repairs to the walls, chasing the small and fine cr...
