Paint scheme dilemma 1920s Craftsman Bungalow
So I am in the process of buying this gem: http://photos.zillowstatic.com/p_f/IS2fcm9rygyj3t1000000000.jpg AS much as I HATE the term, it is a "flip". My goal is preserve the character as much as possible. It has some replacement windows already (some vinyl, some aluminum) and some damaged original ...

Re: The master (and only) bedroom...

Re: The PO "hall of fame"
Ok, well, we're digging into the Old House now, to get it ready to become a rental. I've got a few additions. This is an outlet box. It is filled with drywall compound. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kyZMPQ_qiTI/UTlFCt9UioI/AAAAAAAAA0o/Z9OxpTK-FF8/s1600/cottage94.JPG This *WAS* a live wire when we bought...

Re: it's too damn cold!
11 F right now, coldest we got was 8 F without the windchill. We heat with wood, using a stove rated for 2x the size of the place and it's in the 70's in here. Our Old House was impossible to keep warm and we had to leave the faucet in the tub running a little to keep the water from freezing. I am g...

Re: 2012 Accomplishments
Pics of our progress can be seen on my blog (link in sig) so as not to clutter the thread. We: scraped and recaulked and repainted the window trim on the outside, still need to redo the insides (we have aluminum storms), so probably will need reglazing as well as paint found, reclaimed, cleaned and ...

Re: Light Green Rooms
Simply Sage from Behr, no primer, just painted over beige. It looks lighter in daylight, this was taken at night without the flash one http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pZXd2OnmaUc/ULKnbzmuA2I/AAAAAAAAAvQ/Jl5qDatA6lk/s1600/aa28.JPG I agree on color picking. This actually wasn't the color I picked, but the p...
