Re: Should I use joist sisters that fully span support beams

You know, the previous owner is the one who remodeled the kitchen below and he's an electrician. I'd pinged him about power lines a month ago or so and I'd mentioned sistering the joists WRT the power lines running through holes in the old joists and he said to just notch the sisters instead of redo...

Should I use joist sisters that fully span support beams?

My house was built in 1920. We're down to the studs in our second floor DIY bathroom remodel. I plan to sister the joists to level the floor for tile. Re: Repairing Cracked Stucco

Did you figure out an answer to this? I'm trying to figure out what to use to patch my parging in my basement, but moderators here and on stack exchange keep disapproving my posts and don't tell me how to ask the question the way they want it to be asked. So frustrated.

What substance to use to patch a hold in my basement parging

Question: What to use to patch a hole in a parged basement wall? Background: I repaired a drainage issue on the exterior of my home built in 1920 that was causing my basement to flood. The water had been getting in the basement through a hole that developed through the parging under the stairs. Sinc...

They'll mix it up for you and even match the color of your existing Putty Lime Joint Mortar using pigment.
