Re: Bat Urine Odor Remover

I remember someone saying a bat could reduce itself to the size of a quarter. In an old house where things are not plumb, square or level, there are so many areas in an attic where these pests can squeeze in. It's time well spent to plug all holes now for peace of mind later on. Interesting thread.

Re: P.C.O.S.

Here's a list of "stuff" which my friend takes to keep her PCOS in order. She is a senior in high school. I'm friends with her mom. Swanson Health Products - A combination of Cinnamon, Gymnema and Mulberry. This one caplet is $5.99 for $120 capsules. Perfect Multi-Super Greens - this is a daily vita...

Re: P.C.O.S.

Let me find the list and I'll try and post it on Tuesday. I wouldn't give up hope of becoming a Grandma just yet. Especially when taking Clomid to get pregnant. Multiple births is one side effect.

I'll post it as soon as I can.

Re: P.C.O.S.

I am friends with a high school girl who was diagnosed with PCOS. She is being treated by a holistic doctor with great results! She is taking things like Cinnamon, she has a special cream to apply, and she's taking other herbs. Many of the things she takes is over the counter. I have a list of them,...

Re: I need, I need...to see pics of your home's exterior!

And how about the first picture we found of our house. You can barely see the resemblance. This was the original foot print, as far as we know. The embellishments, the porch and the whole backside of the house were added at the turn of the century. 1900's. It's such a pleasure living here and yet I ...

Re: I need, I need...to see pics of your home's exterior!

Hello: I've been lurking here for going on 5 years. Guess what? I taught myself how to resize pictures. I sure hope this works. Built in 1862 when Lincoln was president. The front room is home to our Lincoln memorabilia. We have three before pictures we obtained from the historical society. They are...

Re: Old House Love to old ANYTHING love?

Hi! I haven't visited this site for a while and I was sifting through the many postings. We love everything old. The older the better. We are blessed to have a 1923 Model T. Ford which we keep in the carriage house. Kind of our "horseless" carriage, no doubt. It's for pleasure driving on those beaut...

When I see posts like this, I can truly appreciate the hours and hours of hard work that goes into removing all the finishes and re-applying a final finish. It's just beautiful! The grain of the wood really is showcased in your entry way. I love the muppet. Not too many of us find such exciting thin...

:D It sure is nice to be able to pick your brains! Thank you for all the comments. Sounds like cork would be a wonderful material for a kitchen floor. She did tells me our Lowes only carries 2 colors. She is searching for more options within the cork line. Side Bar: Her kitchen is an old farmhouse s...

Opinions on Cork Flooring

My mother in law is now taking up her Pergo and installing cork flooring in her kitchen. She has been through ceramic tile and Pergo laminate. Does anyone have an opinion on how cork would last in a kitchen setting? Two people live in the house and both are retired. Generally, people remove their sh...
