My kitchen looks a lot like the first photo...the Shade was Salisbury Green. I think it was Ben Moore.

That was a very wonderful and exciting find! May we all be so lucky to have pictures from the past...my oldest goes back to 1966 and it isn't very detailed. Thank you for sharing! These photos from everyday life are very important to social history than the big fancy professional photos of celebrity...

I am so surprised this thread doesn't have 102 pages to it yet!! I could scare the lead paint off your walls with the stuff that stupid so-and-so PO did to my house....or in the case of the termite beam DIDN'T do to the house he should have. The door with the dark stained glass that had the "Servant's Entrance" sign on it was 35-3/4 x 80 it was trimmed a bit. you can get a lead testing kit at the hardware store if you are worried. Then you should wear a respirator to ensure you won't breathe in the dust. I have been a fan of using a heat gun to soften the paint, but not all that sure about how to take it off a fridge. You can't go above 600 degrees on a ...
