I would certainly guess that all three are the original mantles. They certainly look to be of the proper period, and very nice ones too, especially the second one.

And here you see it post renovation. Pictures have been in the hang out forum for years but don't think I had ever been added to this picture forum before.
I have been seriously considering screening in this porch. Any thoughts?

Here you see it as it looked the first time I saw it. The next picture is after I bought it(one owner in the mean time who deserves more of the credit than I do).

Two thoughts on your picture. First I would bet the walls are pine planks(or since its S.C. maybe cypress), on timber frame, NOT thick stacked planks. Tho I could be wrong about that. I have seen a tiny handful of such structures and they are not usually so well detailed as this place is, but a bit ...

Sounds like you are on the right track with your planning. Pictures always help us in terms of offering advice or ideas.
I would encourage you to use BOTH forums, I do. The spam problem here lately does not seem to bad, but it certainly has taken a toll on the traffic from when it was so bad.

Well the bright side of this is that you probably don't have a mortgage, based on how you got the place. So that should give you some room to maneuver on what needs doing.
