That issue is part of current code, which dictates (I believe) that the tub or shower has to be 6' away from switches and outlets located in the same room. This particular code is set up to keep someone from standing in a metal tub filled with water, and flicking the switch on with wet hands. You are smarter then THAT, so you should be fine.

My kids, however, are not... so we flipped the switch box so that the lights are now operated from the hall outside the bathroom door.

Your tile work looks great, BTW!

Yeah...I figured that I'd been showering with it like that for almost 4 years....I should be fine!

I like the tile too. It's going to look great when the far wall is done & I get my sink & med cabinet in. I can't wait!! :D
Oh...getting the toilet put back in will be a huge plus too! hahaha

Regarding the switch, if you put it on a GCFI breaker, you should be fine. This would protect the circuit with the switch on it, and prevent any electrocution.

The sink looks great, Utopia! BTW, someone on this thread has a sink just like it: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28946 with some questions. Also, note that I found this sink online, selling for, like 9 times what you paid (link in the other thread)! Good job on the craigslist score!
