missing floor tiles

I am remodeling an older home that has had some renovation already. I have made my kitchen larger and need some tile to fill in where wall was. I am looking for the manufacturer of this particular 6 inch quarry tile. The manufacturer on the back of the tile is TEXERAMICS. I have looked and asked around but cannot find them. Also I have looked around and nothing else quite matches what I need. Any ideas on finding the manufacturer.

Texeramics went out of business several years ago. My grandfather used to own the company but he sold it and the new management just let the place go. Some of the tile is still around, but you probably don't need it anymore since you posted this in 2001. If you ever want Texeramics tile, though, you can ask if there is any of that particular brand in a stockpile somewhere in Mineral Wells, TX but they don't make it anymore.

I have over two thousand Texeramic tiles. They are terracotta clay type, most are rectangle4x8, some are square border with a lip, and some are decorative "moorish" style, all are in good condition.

Hello, I'm a historian at the Weatherford Public Library. We have been collecting local historical materials and we visited a run down school house (built 1927) and these tiles (mostly broken) are scattered all over the property. I found this thread looking for info about Texeramics (what it says on the back of the tiles) there are several different types. One type is a green "ogee" shaped tile similar to this http://pinterest.com/pin/59320920061254644/ only larger. Just trying to figure out where they came from and how old they are. Too bad most of them are smashed!
Does anyone know when the Texeramics tile company started?

I found two texeramic tiles in a resale shop. They have a colbalt blue top and stars in the center. Very pretty and they match the design of my parents' kitchen. So I bought them, and my parents use them as hot pads. They are their favorite part of their kitchen. Besides the Texeramic label on the back, they have an inscription: "Soup n Seasoning--Jacque, Ann, and Margie, 1987." We all love the inscription, and now we will enjoy knowing a little history about Texeramics! Thanks so much for all of the information!
