Exterior paint removal
Can somebody please give helpful ideas on removing old exterior paint. We are being lead safe but there has to be away to do this. Without scraping, sanding, more sanding, more sanding. I know it's hard work but theres got to be techniques to help, strippers, citrus oils, infared, pressure wash, any suggestions or some miracle formula.

I would give you the advice about paint removal. Paint thinner will take it right off. Go back over the area that you used thinner with some polish and everything will be fine.

Scraping is a tough process. try to remove the paint with propane blow torch, heat gun or electric sanders.

Re: Exterior paint removal
I have a small cabin/shed that was painted 20 years ago. Now it is sun-worn and the paint is almost gone in the spots facing south. The cabin has false tongue-in-groove wood siding that is weathered and grayed. I want to reduce the siding down to raw wood so I can apply a stain to it. Should I use a chemical paint stripper, sand it or scrape it? There's about 400sq ft to prep so what's the best approach that is not crazy labor intensive to ready the wood for stain?
