cracked cast iron radiator repair
I have a cast iron radiator that has a crack approx 4" long by the foot and am wondering how to fix this if possible. I have read that JB Weld is very temporary, but has anyone used the castaloy system to fix, or should I just get a different one or other suggestions.

My opinion,Paint and yellowish-brown flaking coating of iron oxide can maintain epoxy from secure a broken radiator satisfactorily.Cast iron radiators can manufacture well founded warmth in construction for a period of ten years at a time but do break down after some time. You can regulate a split, cast iron radiator with a consisting of epoxy glue made for use on heavy metal objects.

Blocks crack because someone added water to the radiator instead of anti-freeze. A thorough test drive would have revealed this before you bought it. Taking it to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection would have revealed it.
