Post by AnthonyABobo »

Household wastes are to be disposed of with utmost care. There are certain household items that belong to a waste disposal bin and others that don’t. Garbage containers are necessary for certain things that aren’t recyclable or compostable. The truth about what you can put down the garbage disposal is that it depends on what garbage disposal you have. Here are some do’s and don’ts when it comes to getting rid of waste around your home or office.

Do's
1. Renovation Rubbish
2. Food waste

That was a very useful advice. Hazardous wastes, metals and electronic items are supposed to be sent to the designated plants.

If people do their best to not dump the rubbish in the back alley of a certain place, they may buy less packaging, recycling and compost to reduce the amount they need to pay for each bag.

In many countries especially in China, household wastes recycle every day to produce goods. China produces over 20MW garbage electricity which could save $86m from their industry productions from other resources. Households wastes like plastic bags can be recycled to make new plastic things, old and damaged silicon chips are recycled therefore it can be created again in a shape of brand new silicon chips that are using in every electronic equipment and among them, computer chips and cellphone chips are most common. Food waste can be used as the decomposers to make new drugs and chemicals. We should now that everything in this world that we think is a waste actually they are not. We are still alive because of the recycling system if the things didn't utilize again then we may face much crisis. Be Thankful to Yourself and the creator always.

Speaking of household waste, didn't Sweden import garbage from their neighbors at some point? They produce a non-negligible part of their energy by burning what can be burned, and needed some extra waste to keep the network running.

And yes, electronic and chemical waste can be really, really nasty, I know a couple people who had their children born with deformities and/or various handicaps because there was an unofficial landfill where people dumped chemical waste near their holiday houses...

One of the issues with household waste is that not all of it is waste. As families we can radically reduce the amount of stuff which gets thrown away by thinking before tossing something in the garbage. Many communities have recycling programs which accept paper, glass, bottles, cans, and numerous other items which can be broken down and reused.

My first concern would be what the bags are made off, and whether they're adding to the problem rather than helping. But I'm the same as you, if it helped, I'd do it. I find it surprising how few people around have a compost heap. My (thankfully moved on) neighbour complained that next door but one left all their garden waste in a heap rather than taking it to the tip - obviously not even heard of composting ! Even a lot of reasonably keen gardeners don't - I mentioned making your own potting compost from garden compost on a gardening forum and was told most gardeners don't have time/space/energy to make compost :wtf: IMHO, you are not much of a gardener if you don't !
