Did you ever end up investing in soundproof windows? I'm looking at buying some windows from CitiQuiet.com but I'm not sure if it will be worth it.

You can try noise dampening curtains These are usually suspended on a roof deck, with or without roof curtain. With roof curtain, the acoustic performance is much better. Without it, you got better visibility and ventilation which does good to temperature reduction.
