Or when you drive by a junk pile, see a door, and grab it without any concern over the size or if you'll ever be able to use it. The "I might need that syndrome"...

You hear about a local landmark scheduled for demolition and decide to volunteer to spearhead the effort to save it. I am just about to do that, just as my own restoration gets underway.

You SERIOUSLY consider cancelling your vacation and using the money to buy the silent paint stripper, that vintage clawfoot tub (in PERFECT condition ) at the salvage yard, and about a dozen other things I would buy "if I only had the money"!!
