Help identifying wood type of trim
My wife and I bought a house in Columbus, Ohio that was built in 1920. One of the corners of the living room has water damage to the plaster. My idea is to cover the walls with real wood planks and build shelving. I would like to try and identify the type of wood used for the trim so matching the stain color will be easier. I have no need or want to remove any of the trim because it is all in great shape. I tried to attach a couple of jpegs but it keeps telling me that the file is invalid. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Virtually impossible to identify without pictures. You'll need to post pictures.
