Light fixture suggestions

Hi! We are closing on a 1966 exposed beam ranch home in Florida. If we didn't live in Florida I would take down all of the ceiling fans but it is just something you need in Florida. Fortunately all of them have real wood blades and brass metal parts so period appropriate but the light fixtures are terrible. Just the cheapie globe things. Any suggestions for a light style that doesn't look out of place on the ceiling fans? Or maybe removing the lights all together and figuring out some other kind of room lighting? Thanks!
