Hello,
I was hoping that someone on here could shed some light on Brikcrete. My wife and I just bought a house back in January which we though it was stick framing with a brick veneer, but after finding the blueprints in the basement we learned it is actually Brikcrete. For reference, the house is located in Lexington, KY and was built in 1951. I've attached a picture of the front of the house as well as the blueprints for the font elevation and the framing detail. I haven't been able to find much information about Brikcrete except in some general marketing material and some advertisements dating from the 1940's and 1950's. It would be nice to know more about the history of Brikcrete, especially why it went away. It would also be good to know if it has particular maintenance needs.
Thanks for any information you can provide
