Locks
I have a 1930 Colonial that I've never had a front door key for. We usually come in and out our basement near the garage. I've lived there 15 years and I guess it's time to finally have a front door key. It's not a skeleton key. I have 3 doors that have the same "PENN" brand locks. One is the front door, side door and a door from the garage into the basement. It would be much easier and less disruptive to take out the basement lock and take to a locksmith. What do you think the chances are the key would be the same for all 3 locks? Did they do that back then? I know I could have him come to the house but I'm sure it's much more expensive. Thanks in advance.
