English Daisies are small plants suitable for rock gardens and edging. Where growing conditions are favorable they may become weeds. The plants like cool, moist weather and grow poorly in hot dry weather. Bellis likes any fertile soil but dislikes clay. Some double flowered types revert to wild types if not divided often enough. The flowers close at dusk.

Propagation is by seed, or division in autumn. They may be dug and potted after flowering or transplanted to an out-of-the-way spot. They are replanted back into the flower bed in fall. The seed germinates in 1 or 2 weeks at 68 degrees.
