This coreopsis is 15 to 18 inches tall and produces single or double, yellow flowers suitable for cutting. The plant grows in most garden soils and needs a growing area in full sun. Remove the flowers as they fade to extend the blooming period. The stalks become long and weak and tend to break in windy or rainy weather. Dwarf varieties do not have this problem. Winter protection is suggested. Tick- Seed will self seed and become a weed.

Propagation is by division, seed or cuttings. Basal cuttings may be used and division is done in autumn or spring. The seed germinates in 5 to 10 days at temperatures between 70 and 75 degrees. The plant blooms the first year from seed. Double flowered varieties do not come true from seed.
