Dianthus gratianopolitanus--Cheddar Pink Cheddar pink grows 6 to 12 inches tall and produces rose colored blooms in May or June. It prefers sun and
grows in soils with a pH above 7. There are several methods of propagation. Softwood cuttings may be taken and rooted in early summer. The plants may be divided, probably in the spring. Layering may be used. The seed germinates in 5 to 10 days at 70 degrees.
