This plant is a result of a cross between two different genera; fatsia and hedera. When grown as a foliage plant it needs medium light, for flowers, provide high light intensity. Aralia ivy tolerates low light intensity and requires an evenly moist soil. Actively growing fatshedera may be fertilized with any house plant fertilizer. Ideal temperatures are 40 to 45 degrees at night and 55 to 60 degrees during the day. Tall plants may need to be supported. Pinching may be needed to induce branching.
Propagation is by stem tip or leaf bud cuttings.
