Flowering Shrubs -- Preservation

By The Old House Web
To enjoy flowering shrubs as cut specimens, prune in the early morning, remove all foliage beneath the water line. Lightly pound stems with a hammer or mallet to aid in water absorption. Place in a tall container and place in cool, dark location for longest life.

A floral preservative can be used to prolong the cut limb's life.
