Aphids suck plants juices causing distorted growth. Aphids can be controlled with Diazinon dust or sprays of rotenone or Sevin.

Spotted cucumber beetle feeds on the blossoms. No chemical control is listed.

Tarnished plant bug feeds on the new shoots causing them to turn black. This insect can be controlled with applications of Sevin.
