Morning Glory is a fast growing, climbing vine with flowers in shades of white, pink, red, purple and blue. The plant is useful as a screening plant. The plant grows in sandy soil but will need lots of water. Larger plants benefit from fertilization although too much fertilizer early in the season reduces blooming. The plants will need some sort of support to climb on.
The seeds may be planted directly into the garden after the danger of frost has passed. Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting enhances germination. Space plants 24 to 36 inches apart.
