Lily -- Planting

By The Old House Web
Lily bulbs are planted in the late fall in a well-drained, high organic matter soil. The top of the bulbs are planted six to eight inches beneath the surface. Space bulbs six to eight inches apart.

Bulbs should be fertilized with one tablespoon of a 10-10-10 or 12-12-12 fertilizer per bulb. Water thoroughly and mulch for the winter.

Lilies should be planted in full sun to maximize blooming.
