Monkeyflower will grow best in a rich moist soil. Light shade and cool growing conditions are best.

Propagation is by cuttings or seeds. Take softwood cuttings from young shoots. The very fine seed germinates in 10 days at 70 to 75 degrees. The seedlings can be transplanted in clumps and divided when they are larger.
