Nicotiana Alata -- Flowering Tobacco

Nicotiana producesfragrant, tubular flowers in shades of white, red, or pink. They grow in any garden soiland prefer full sun to partial shade. Young plants need warmth and sunshine. Regularfertilization is recommended.

 

Nicotiana makes a good cut flower. Self seeded volunteers usually don't come true tocolor. The seed germinates in two to three weeks at 68 to 86 degrees. The seed needs lightfor germination.
