Pachysandra has no ornamental flowers but is good as a ground cover in shaded areas. It is slow to establish and if planted one foot apart takes 2 to 3 years to fill in. The plant grows in most soils. The foliage is yellowish and scorched if exposed to full sun and dryness.
Propagation is by division, or summer stem cuttings.
