Yoshino cherry is a fast growing but short lived tree. It has horizontal branching but may not be fully hardy. The white to pink flowers occur in early spring before the leaves develop.
The cultivars are: 'Akebona'--('Daybreak')--flowers softer pink; perpendens--irregularly pendulous branches.
