The Old House Web

The Old House Web makes XML and RSS files of our product reviews available for use in news aggregators, personalized home pages such as MyYahoo, blogs and news pages on other web sites.

We update our news feed daily with new stories. We include headlines, story summaries and links back to Oldhouseweb.com for the full article.

If you are a webmaster and would like to include our RSS feed within your website, you are free to do so as long as you do not alter it in any way. (Webmasters: See other terms of service, below.)

What is RSS?

An RSS file is a list of headlines encoded so that they can be used by another program or website. RSS is usually said to stand for "Really Simple Syndication."

Programs that know what to do with RSS files are called "news aggregators." They let you read headlines from dozens or hundreds of news sites at one time. You simply plug in the addresses of the RSS files you want.

If you don't want to install any software, you might try websites that do the aggregation for you. NewsGator lets you read online or in your e-mail software while Bloglines offers a nice interface.
