Adhesives: 5-minute epoxy

For all of its advantages, conventional two-part epoxy takes a long time to cure. If you're in a hurry, Devcon's 5-minute epoxy can be used to bond metal, fabric, glass, wood and concrete much more rapidly. It can be combined with wood dust or shavings to make a serviceable patch or filler to repair a surface defect.

This epoxy actually takes about 15 minutes to dry, but it reaches full bond strength in only one hour ? far more quickly than most other adhesives. It's a two-part glue that comes in a twin-tube dispenser that makes mixing it to the correct one-to-one proportions nearly fool-proof. In November 2004, a 1-oz. syringe tube was available for about $4.
