Aluminum Siding: Plane to Colorful

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
Aluminum siding has been around since 1947 when war veteran-turned-inventor Jerome Kaufman noticed that paint bonded well to metal war planes. In those early days, you could order any color aluminum siding you wanted, as long as it was white.

This aluminum siding is offered in eight low-gloss colors, with a straight wood grain pattern imprinted on its face.

  • Double 4" Wood Grain Aluminum Siding measures 8" wide by 12'6" long.
  • The manufacturer and dealers were contacted but would not give a price for this siding.
