The AGA Companion features the same vitreous enameled cast iron front plate, doors, and hot plate as the larger natural gas cookers. But this little sister is a free-standing cookstove with a gas hot plate and two electric ovens. The top oven also has a broiler, while the lower oven is a convection oven.

The British manufacturer proudly boasts that its distinctive cookers, and now the Companion, are not available in the stainless steel like many popular commercial style appliances. Choose instead from nine striking enamel finishes. The Companion is 36" high, 24" wide and 25" deep. The company does not list prices, but expect to pay a premium for the hand-built, hand-enameled appliance.
