The fiber cement clapboards won't decay or weather like the wood they're patterned after. The lap siding can be installed directly over studs on 24" centers (or less) or on 7/16" wooden substrate.

It's offered in several textures, styles and sizes. A factory applied sealer and primer means the siding is ready to paint.
