Chandeliers: Cornelius Exquisite

Reviewed by:
Rosemary Thornton
Based on a design from 1840, this reproduction gasolier (chandelier which burns gas), uses electricity to fuel each of its six 100-watt lights.

The original version of this neo-Rococo light is attributed to Cornelius and Son, mid-19th Century Philadelphia lamp makers. This ornate fixture has figures of cupids, Grecian women, flowers, birds and more.

Each arm has shade fitters, gas keys and chain holders. Choose from ten styles of shades (which are not included in price).

You may want a little help installing the fixture, as it weighs about 120 pounds.
